Apparently the rule of law is no longer more important than getting what you want. Regardless of what the law might say what matters most is that some people expect to get exactly what they want or else. This is now the case in Obama’s America. Am I referring to the events in Ferguson, or am I talking about Barack Obama’s executive amnesty actions? The simple answer is yes, I am.

Some would contend that the two issues are unrelated, but it is hard to not see the parallels and draw some unfortunate conclusions. The Obama administration has developed a reputation for ignoring laws that it doesn’t like, bending some as far as they can get away with, and breaking others with impunity. On issues ranging from immigration, the BP oil spill, Fast & Furious, the IRS scandal, NSA wiretapping, the Benghazi cover-up, the targeting of Sharyl Attkisson and other reporters, the Bowe Bergdahl prisoner swap, prisoner releases, Obamacare implementation, EPA abuses, and many others, the administration has stonewalled, lied, and otherwise ignored and/or violated the law because it didn’t suit their purposes. Of course, anyone who speaks out against his actions are doing so only because they are racist and don’t like having a black man in the White House.

In Ferguson the rule of law and the judicial process have been deemed irrelevant by the thugs taking to the streets rioting over the Darren Wilson grand jury verdict. Using their logic, the grand jury should have ignored the evidence presented in the case and handed down an indictment on Officer Wilson because he is white, and apparently Officer Wilson should have allowed Michael Brown to beat him senseless, take his gun and shoot him just because he was black. The law is irrelevant, what matters is that the thugs get what they want.

A Canadian Viewpoint on the U.S. Elections

This is a CANADIAN WRITER --- Commenting on the recent  U.S.  Election. So well written! By Marc Patrone, Calgary Sun News
Fasten your seatbelts, Canada, and get ready for the battle for America 3

America is on the edge of a second revolutionary war.

It may not be bloody like the first one, but it will be hugely important. Some might suggest it's more a civil war, but with liberty and the Constitution hanging in the balance, revolution seems a more appropriate comparison.

There are no British troops or monarchy to fight this time.

The 'shot heard around the world' wasn't fired from a musket, it came from the ballot box.

Americans have taken a long hard look at the kind of fundamental transformation promised by Barack Obama and the Democrat party and they want nothing to do with it.

The Republican victory suggests Americans are more than just unhappy with the direction the country is headed.

Such was the devastating scope of the electoral debacle for the democrats that it appears Americans are mobilizing for war against the Obama agenda. They are only now truly beginning to understand the threat to liberty he presents.

What's so deeply troubling, albeit not entirely unexpected, is the disdain, arrogance and contempt with which this president dismissed the results.

So to everyone who voted, 'I want you to know I hear you.' To the two-thirds of voters who chose not to participate in the process yesterday, 'I hear you, too,' he said. Meaning what?

He seems to be suggesting that by not voting, the majority of Americans agree with what he's doing. Terrifying? You bet.

It's taken six years, but the ugly truth about Obama's contemptuous attitudes toward the people who elected him twice is becoming all too evident.

Lame duck? Guess again.

The man probably realizes that a chance to remake the U. S. According to his far left view of the world may not come around again. His time is running out. Obama's 'nuclear option' is amnesty for millions of illegals.

He expects those illegals will become dependents of the state, thus stacking the electoral deck in favour of Democrats by promising the new 'wards of the state' a suite of  entitlements.

The depth of this destructive agenda is clear, rip off trillions in  wealth (which Obama believes was stolen anyway) and give it to those whom he considers 'victims' of capitalism.

The beneficiaries will naturally reward the progressive left with voter support into perpetuity. Viola, the progressive dream of a one-party state is realized.

This has been decades in the making. The left has infiltrated, corrupted, and subverted the institutions that had, up to now, served as pillars supporting freedom, democracy, and prosperity.

The bulk of what was once a free and independent media has been reduced to little more than an arm of the Democrats.

That tens of millions of Americans are flocking to Fox News, conservative talk radio and online news sites is heartening but doesn't change the fact most TV, print media outlets are in an advanced state of putrid, cancerous liberal rot.

The same cancer has undermined the school system, 'big labour,' the environmental movement, and the Hollywood culture machine. Even capitalism itself has succumbed to the lure of easy government money, power and cronyism.

So who is left to fight for freedom? The rest of America.

Obama will attempt to ram through amnesty, climate change, wealth redistribution and he will ignore the constitution to do it.

Republicans have assured Obama impeachment is off the table. And so the battle lines are drawn.

Fasten your seatbelts Canada, we're about to get a front-row seat to the battle for the soul of America and indeed the free world. Let's hope that, as in the first revolutionary war, that the right side wins.

If it doesn't, we all lose.

Obama Sets Off On Scorched-Earth Rampage - Washington Times

“Some men just want to watch the world burn.” — Alfred talking about the Joker in “The Dark Knight”

President Obama, fresh off a shellacking in the 2014 midterm elections — in which he made himself a centerpiece, much to the chagrin of embattled Democrats — is about to embark on a scorched-earth rampage that will change the face of America forever.

Although the Harvard graduate and former professor often speaks of “teachable moments,” the president saw nothing worth learning in the outcome of the Nov. 4 elections, when voters gave Republicans their largest majority in the House since World War II and drummed the Democrats out of control of the Senate.

More, he doesn’t care that poll after poll shows a growing disillusionment with his signature policy as president, Obamacare, which now holds a record low approval rating of 37 percent. And his plan to use executive authority to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens rates just about the same — just 38 percent of Americans approve.

But Mr. Obama couldn’t care less. He doesn’t care that he has said at least 22 times in the past that he couldn’t simply create his own immigration law or ignore the statues already on the books.
Congress’s job is to pass legislation. The president can veto it or he can sign it. … I believe in the Constitution and I will obey the Constitution of the United States,” he said in 2008.

And in 2010, he was more blunt: “I am president, I am not king. I can’t do these things just by myself.” That’s right, he can’t. The Founders, fearful of the power of a monarch, designed the American government so that the president is the least powerful of the triumvirate, giving far more power to the legislative branch and the judiciary.

All that talk was from before the drubbing the president took in the midterms. Now, Mr. Obama, with just two years left in office, has jettisoned his once-lofty rhetoric about the limits of presidential power.

Did the Historical Jesus Exist?

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

This story first appeared at AlterNet.

Most antiquities scholars think that the New Testament gospels are “mythologized history.”  In other words, they think that around the start of the first century a controversial Jewish rabbi named Yeshua ben Yosef gathered a following and his life and teachings provided the seed that grew into Christianity.

At the same time, these scholars acknowledge that many Bible stories like the virgin birth, miracles, resurrection, and women at the tomb borrow and rework mythic themes that were common in the Ancient Near East, much the way that screenwriters base new movies on old familiar tropes or plot elements. In this view, a “historical Jesus” became mythologized.

For over 200 years, a wide ranging array of theologians and historians—most of them Christian—analyzed ancient texts, both those that made it into the Bible and those that didn’t, in attempts to excavate the man behind the myth.  Several current or recent bestsellers take this approach, distilling the scholarship for a popular audience. Familiar titles include Zealot by Reza Aslan and  How Jesus Became God by Bart Ehrman.

But other scholars believe that the gospel stories are actually “historicized mythology.”  In this view, those ancient mythic templates are themselves the kernel. They got filled in with names, places and other real world details as early sects of Jesus worship attempted to understand and defend the devotional traditions they had received.

The notion that Jesus never existed is a minority position.  Of course it is! says David Fitzgerald, author of Nailed: Ten Christian Myths That Show Jesus Never Existed at All . For centuries all serious scholars of Christianity were Christians themselves, and modern secular scholars lean heavily on the groundwork that they laid in collecting, preserving, and analyzing ancient texts. Even today most secular scholars come out of a religious background, and many operate by default under historical presumptions of their former faith.

Obama Isn't Listening

April 14, 2010 "The President was listeni...
Shellacked and thumped by an angry electorate, President Obama declared to every American who voted in Tuesday's electionsand to those who've checked out of the political process"I hear you."

And then he ignored them.

From all appearances Wednesday, the president won't changenot his policies, not his style, not his staff, not nothing. Defiant and begrudging, the president said he would meet with GOP leaders, seek their suggestions for common ground, and maybe grab a drink with Senate Majority Leader-to-Be Mitch McConnell.

Beyond that, meh. "It's probably premature" to consider personnel changes, Obama said when pressed by a reporter for the type of reflection and resetting undertaken by President Clinton after his 1994 midterm trouncing.

Moments earlier, McConnell urged Obama not to take executive action to legalize undocumented immigrants, saying such a momentous policy change by fiat would "be like waving a red flag in front of a bull." The newly reelected Kentucky senator also called it a "poison pill."

Obama shrugged. While willing to consider any immigration legislation passed by the GOP-controlled Congress, "What I'm not going to do," Obama said, "is wait."

6 Reasons Barack Obama Is A Failed President

English: President Barack Obama talks with Chi...
It's easy to just chalk up Barack Obama's terrible performance as President to "liberalism" or "incompetence," but it goes so much further than that. Obama is a ballerina running a steel mill, a fight fan working as a bouncer, a go cart aficionado racing in NASCAR. Barack Obama was elected because Americans were frustrated with the Republican Party, because he did a good job of reading uplifting speeches, and because Americans thought that if they elected the first black President, it would be a seminal moment for race relations in America. Unfortunately, GOP awfulness didn't translate into Democratic goodness, those speeches got dull in a hurry, race relations have gotten worse, and none of that has anything to do with Obama actually being capable of handling the most important job on the planet. Maybe next time, voters will ask the most basic question about the candidates running for President: are they competent to do the job or will we end up with another Obama?

1) He was unprepared for the job: As Sarah Palin said back in 2008, "My fellow citizens, the American presidency is not supposed to be a journey of personal discovery."
Yet, that’s exactly what the presidency was for Barack Obama. He had never run a business. He had never been a governor. His performance as a state senator in Illinois and during his very brief time as a senator was undistinguished. There was nothing about Barack Obama’s background that should have led anyone to think that he would be up to the job of being President and as it turns out, he isn’t.

2) His aims are ideological and political, not practical: Barack Obama’s only concerns are…
A) Is this good for me? B) Is this good for the Democrat Party? C) Is this good for liberalism?
Whether it’s good for the country or not doesn’t even enter into the equation perhaps because Obama starts with the assumption that anything that’s good for him, the Democrat Party, and for liberalism must be good for the country by default. Sadly, the long line of broken promises, mishaps, and disasters that have defined his presidency say otherwise.

What Happened Last Week? | The American Spectator

Barack Obama’s last California visit, Silicon ...
Just what happened last week on election day? And what is going to happen in the years ahead?

The most important thing that happened last week was that the country dodged a bullet. Had the Democrats retained control of the Senate, President Obama could have spent his last two years in office loading the federal judiciary with judges who share his contempt for the Constitution of the United States.

Such judges — perhaps including Supreme Court justices — would have been confirmed by Senate Democrats, and could spend the rest of their lifetime appointments ruling in favor of expansions of federal government power that would make the freedom of “we the people” only a distant memory and a painful mockery.

We dodged that bullet. But what about the rest of Barack Obama’s term?

Pundits who depict Obama as a weak, lame duck president may be greatly misjudging him, as they have so often in the past. Despite the Republican sweep of elections across the country last week, President Obama has issued an ultimatum to Congress, to either pass the kind of immigration law he wants before the end of this year or he will issue Executive Orders changing the country’s immigration laws unilaterally.

Does that sound like a lame duck president?

On the contrary, it sounds more like some banana republic’s dictator. Nor is Obama making an idle bluff. He has already changed other laws unilaterally, including the work requirement in welfare reform laws passed during the Clinton administration.

Scrub Islam! | Grouchy Old Cripple

I’m sure many of you have seen this story.
The Montgomery County Board of Education on Tuesday voted to strip the names of Christian and Jewish holidays from its school calendar amid complaints from the parents of Muslim children seeking recognition for Islamic holidays.
The schools still will be closed on the holidays, but the board voted 7-1 to move the religious references from the calendar.
What a bunch of gutless pussies! JHFC! I’m an atheist and I’m offended. This country was founded on Judeo/Christian principles and now we have these goat boinkers of the Religion of Perpetual Offense coming here and demanding that we conform to their beliefs. There are only two things that Mooslimes have been involved in since the founding of this country: the Barbary Pirates and 9/11. Let’s treat Mooslimes the way Saudi Arabia treats Jews and Christians. It’s a crime to have possession of a Bible in Saudi Arabia. Let’s make it a crime to have a Koran in this country. Tit for tat.

As the Mooslime population in a country increases their demands increase. Look what’s going on in Europe. In Sweden Mooslimes feel justified in raping Swedish women who wear provocative clothing. Look at what happened in Rotherham England. Google it. we’re supposed to conform to their beliefs. They demand tolerance but don’t believe it’s a two way street. Let’s show them the same tolerance they show us.

I’m getting sick of these assholes. If our flag offends then it’s time to go back to the shitholestan they came from. If our holidays offend them, they need to take a big ol’ dose of STFU and leave. It’s long past time to start playing cowboys and Mooslimes.

Rather than scrubbing Christian holidays like Christmas and Easter from our schools we need to scrub Islam from our country. These assholes have been fighting a war against western civilization since the 7th Century. That’s a 1400 year war. They know they are fighting it. Too many people in Europe and the United States don’t realize that there is a war going on. The Montgomery County Board of Education by giving in to this demand and appeasing these 7th Century barbarians only emboldens them to make more and more demands. Appeasement never works.

Let’s scrub them from this country and then air dry them. From a c-130 at 20,000 feet over the shitholestans they came from.

It’s the right thing to do.
