Obama Plays the Race Card
Obama
Plays Race Card, Calls on Churches to Support Campaign by Paul Joseph Watson
Imagine if Ron Paul announced a national campaign called ‘Whites for Ron
Paul’ – he’d be vilified as a racist. And yet Barack Obama has done the
equivalent of precisely that with his launch of ‘African Americans for Obama’.
The program urges black Americans to volunteer
their time by making calls, organizing events and going door to door in their
neighborhoods encouraging other African Americans to vote for Obama.
Not only is Obama playing the race card in an
attempt to pressure black Americans into voting for him, he is also violating
the separation between church and state. In the video promo for the campaign,
Obama urges black people to pressure churches into supporting his
administration by getting his message out via “the faith community”. He also
calls on voters to become “congregation captains”.
Again, imagine what the reaction would be any of
the Republican candidates launched a ‘Whites for Romney’, ‘Whites for Santorum’
or ‘Whites for Gingrich’ campaign. There would be non-stop uproar. But Obama
does the equivalent and gets a free pass.
“I thought race didn’t matter Mr. President?”
asks Chad Hasty. “I don’t think MLK would be too pleased with you at all.
African-Americans for Obama? Give me a break. Under this President, more blacks
are unemployed. More blacks are on food stamps. If I had to bet though, Obama
will still pull 93% of the black vote. Again, just a wild guess.”
As part of his efforts to lock down the black
community as a voting bloc, Obama has arrived in Florida accompanied by an
invasion of rappers and NBA basketball stars – all at taxpayer expense.
“The group — which organizers said includes Magic
Johnson, Alonzo Mourning and NBA Commissioner David Stern — will meet with
President Obama for a $30,000-a-plate fundraiser at the (actual) home court of
Dallas Mavericks guard Vince Carter in his Isleworth mansion,” reports the
Orlando Sentinel.
The expensive fundraising trip is timed to
coincide with Sunday’s 61st NBA All-Star Game at Orlando’s Amway Center.
An expensive new basketball shoe launched to capitalize on the event
caused mayhem at a Florida mall last night. Riot police were called after
crowds attempted to rush into a branch of Foot Locker to purchase the shoe
before closing time.

American Response to Afghan Quran Incident a Show of
Weakness
by John Bernard, 1st Sgt. USMC (ret.)
As an American, watching senior Officers and Elected
Officials continually apologizing for one piece of inanity or another has
passed from bothersome to an active insult to the American people! And even if
an unhealthy percentage of this population is not insulted by this most
despicable of trends; many of us are! These Officers and our elected officials
fail to understand they do not represent the many foreign cultures of the world
and they certainly are not properly representing us by continuing to prostrate
themselves and by extension, us for every little suggestion of insensitivity
toward the delicate mental state of the ideologically unhinged.
This latest example was provoked by a gaggle of angry Afghan
protestors who were reacting to a story that the Koran or even several copies
of the Koran had been disposed of – unceremoniously. If anyone had read the
actual account, they would have learned that the copies that were discarded and
burned belonged to EPW’s (Enemy Prisoners of War) being held on Bagram Airfield
in Afghanistan. They were confiscated when it was determined that the EPW’s
were using the Koran as an illicit messaging system to communicate with one
another.
For those of you who do not understand the implications of
that little piece of information, allowing EPW’s access to one another overtly
or covertly, increases the chances of everything from an escape attempt to
violent acts against their guards. Removing the Koranic message pads, was not
only good judgment, it was necessary and may have saved lives – American lives.
Varying versions of the story have indicated as few as 100
and as many as 2000 “noble” Afghan’s had “assembled” for a protest of the
alleged desecration of the Koran. These “peaceful” and “noble” protestors threw
rocks and firebombs at security forces in anger over the insensitive handling
of their “holy” book.
Just an aside; why is it that protestors, whether on this
side of the big pond, or the other, are considered sincere, peaceful and
righteous when they employ actions that endanger the very lives of those around
them but when someone lodges a peaceful, verbal or written complaint they are
being unreasonable, hate-filled and even racist? And why is it that if someone
were to burn the Bible – unceremoniously or otherwise that the same kind of
reaction to that act would not also be seen as reasonable? Why is it we
tolerate these acts of intolerance only from the “noble” Islamic adherent?
A video shows the American Officer in charge of ISAF
expounding on the horrors of the handling of the Islamic text as he tries to
assure his Afghan audience and the Muslim world in general that this whole
episode was just an unfortunate accident and under investigation. His public
Nostrum Mendum would have been at least a little balanced if he had also
mentioned that the Korans in question had already been desecrated by the
Islamic EPW’s who were the original owners and who were using them as,
essentially, a combat notebook. Do you suppose the “noble” protestors would
have been as incensed by that knowledge? Do you think they would have demanded
those Islamic prisoners be handed over for a “proper chastisement”? Or is this
episode just another indication of the intolerance of a people ensconced in a
religious ideology that preaches and demands intolerance of others?
Where were those “noble” Afghan protestors when eleven (yes,
11) Afghan policemen opened fire on NATO troops two days ago? And for that
matter, did this Officer or his US political “handlers” care enough about that
attack and the countless other attacks that have occurred in the past three
years, to denounce them publically, to the “noble” Afghan?
I can’t seem to find that video anywhere…
I was also wondering why it is so imperative that we, as a
nation be “sensitive” to the intolerance of a people who would just as soon
have our heads on several pikes while admonishing our very same population for
not being tolerant enough of others?
This goes far beyond the discussion of double standards. We
are now firmly engaged in the psychologically sick act of self-destruction. We
are no longer satisfied to consider ourselves or the actions of our
predecessors loathsome, we are now obsessed with ensuring our own destruction
as a nation, a culture and a people. Our leadership is no longer interested in
right or wrong, truth or lie, acts of desecration or accidental disposal, the
survival of our nation or the perception of our strength. All that really
counts is ensuring the most despicable people and cultures of this world truly
believe our heartfelt apology – for existing and that we will continue to
strive for the total annihilation of our culture, our society, our population.
The country I heard about, read about and was taught about
as a child seems to have vaporized. The dream that was the vision of our
founding fathers and that was kept alive even through the generation of my
parents and a sizeable portion of my generation, has been circumvented by a
sub-culture of prostrating, anti-American self-mutilators who seem to think
they represent all of us.
I have sad news for you; you don’t!
Semper Fidelis;
John Bernard

Recovery?
unemployment (Photo credit: Sean MacEntee) |
This is your “Obama recovery”
The Dems are crowing about the drop in unemployment numbers.
But if you look a little further into the numbers, you see
that the American job market is notbetter off than it was four years ago. Indeed, it’s a lot worse.
On Inauguration Day in 2009, when Barack Obama took office,
the unemployment rate was 7.8 percent (up from 4.4% as recently as May of
2007). Notwithstanding his promises that
Porkulus would cap unemployment at 8.5%, it soared to 10% in October of 2009,
and didn’t dip down below 9% in any sustained way until last fall. Last month, after three years of Obama, it
was at 8.3% – or .2% lower than where he said it’d never get above if we spent
what he proposed.
That’s bad.
“But 8.3% is better than 10%, right?”
Sure – if all you’re doing is comparing numbers
straight-up. But by itself, the
unemployment rate is meaningless. It’s a
percentage of people out of work – but who are those people? They are the ones that are participating in
the labor market.
And fewer Americans than ever -ever! – are doing that!
So let’s figure the actual percentage of Americans working,
overall.
January 2009: According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics,
the Workforce Participation rate when Obama took office was 65.7%. That means 34.3% of the workforce wasn’t even
trying to participate, through discouragement, disability or whatever case
applied. Add to that the 7.8%
unemployed, and you reach a figure of 57.1% of the American workforce actually
working.
October 2009: At this
point, the “low point” of the Obama recession, the participation rate was an
even 65% just in time for unemployment to hit an even 10%., 55% of the American work force was working.
January, 2012: As
unemployment stood at 8.3%, the workforce participation rate was 63.7% – the
lowest since records have been kept.
That means that overall employment in the American workforce is now a
whopping…
…55.2%.
That’s a fifth of a percent higher than it was at the lowest
point of the Obama recession.
Almost two full points lower than it was when Barack Obama
took office.
(And five full points lower than June of 2003, the worst
month of George W. Bush’s presidency.
That’s five percent lower employment overall. Six and change if you take one of Bush’s
better months).
The media is spinning nonstop about the “Obama
recovery”. It’s vapor; in terms of
percentage of the American workforce actually working, there is no recovery.
Are you better off than you were four years ago, America?
No – you’re doing two percent worse.
Update, 2/21/12: Yesterday, in my piece “This Is Your Obama
Recovery“, I looked at the math behind the unemployment numbers. I concluded that when you subtract the
unemployment numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics Labor Force
Participation numbers, the number of Americans working is two percentage points
lower than it was when Barack Obama was inaugurated, and only a fifth of a
point better than the “low point” of the recession (in unemployment terms), in
October of 2009.
I reached the numbers by subtracting the unemployment figure
from the participation figure; for example, in October of 2009, I subtracted
the 10% unemployment rate from the 65% participation rate to get an overall
employment rate of 55%.
A commenter at Hot Air - where Allahpundit was kind enough
to run my post in its entirety - pointed out that I did the math wrong. He was correct, of course; the unemployment
rate is among those participating in the labor force, not the entire
force. I needed to recalculate,
multiplying the BLS Labor Force Participation Rate by the same month’s unemployment rate as
supplied by the BLS.
It actually makes things worse for the Administration.
January 2009: 7.8%
unemployment among the 65.7% of people participating in the workforce meant
60.67% of the work force was working the day Barack Obama was inaugurated.
October 2010 - lopping 10% unemployment from the 65%
participation rate leaves you 58.5% of the workforce at work on the month the
unemployment rate supposedly bottomed.
January 2012 - Three years after Obama took office, with the
unemployment rate right about the point where Obama said that it’d peak with
Porkulus? 8.3% unemployment among a
63.7% share of the workforce still in the workforce yields58.41% of the labor
force actually working.
So I was wrong. We
actually have a lower percentage of the work force actually working now than at
the “low point” of the recession”, and two and a quarter points lower than when
Obama took office.
I regret the error. I hope America feels the same.

Was George Bush an Idiot?
Got this in my email. I don't know the author, but it was too good not to share.
Image via Wikipedia |
If George W. Bush had doubled the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had criticized a state law that he admitted he never even read, would you think that he is just an ignorant hot head?
If George W. Bush joined the country of Mexico and sued a state in the United States to force that state to continue to allow illegal immigration, would you question his patriotism and wonder who's side he was on?
If George W. Bush had put 87,000 workers out of work by arbitrarily placing a moratorium on offshore oil drilling on companies that have one of the best safety records of any industry because one company had an accident would you have agreed?
If George W. Bush had used a forged document as the basis of the moratorium that would render 87,000 American workers unemployed would you support him?
If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a TelePrompTer installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?
If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved? If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan's holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved? If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved? If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved? If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky? If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved? If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the nonexistent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip? If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved? If George W. Bush had stated that there were 57 states in theUnited States, would you have said that he is clueless. If George W. Bush would have flown all the way to Denmark to make a five minute speech about how the Olympics would benefit him walking out his front door in Texas, would you havethought he was a self important, conceited, egotistical jerk. If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment? If George W. Bush had misspelled the word "advice" would you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoes as proof of what a dunce he is? If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite? If George W. Bush's administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11? If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence? If George W. Bush had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in & around; America, would you have approved. If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved? So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 1,127 Days -- so you'll have 331 Days to come up with an answer. |

The Ant and the Grasshopper (Updated Version)
Cover of Kermit the Frog |
This one is a little different....
Two Different Versions ...
Two Different Morals
OLD VERSION
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.
The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.
MORAL OF THE OLD STORY:
Be responsible for yourself!
MODERN VERSION
The ant works hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving..
CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast.
How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?
Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green...'
Occupy the Anthill stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the SEIU group singing, We shall overcome.
Then Rev. Jeremiah Wright has the group kneel down to pray for thegrasshopper's sake, while he damns the ants.
President Obama condems the ant and blames President Bush 43, President Bush 41, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper's plight.
Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.
Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.
The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper.
The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn't maintain it.
The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.
The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous and peaceful, neighborhood.
The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest of the free world with it.
MORAL OF THE NEW STORY:
Be careful how you vote in 2012.

Articles: I Finally Understand Democrats
Image via Wikipedia |
After years of puzzlement and curiosity observing modern day Democrats, I think I have finally figured them out.
I'm constantly amazed that modern Democrats have evolved beyond living in caves. I mean what other animal on this planet can disregard all common sense and logic and survive? Scientists have recently discovered that even giant sea slugs that do not possess a brain as such can learn from past experiences. That puts them a leg up over the current crop of liberals in this country. I used to subscribe to the adage that liberalism was a mental disorder, but even Rainman would have a hard time buying into the standard mantra of the present day Democratic Party. In order to believe that Democrats have the answer today, you would have to believe:
That you can grow the entitlement class beyond the taxpayer class and never hit critical mass where there is no money left.
That using the military to oust a murderous thug dictator in 2003 was criminal, and using the military to oust a murderous thug dictator in 2011 was noble.
That the best way to grow the wealth of the private sector is to take all the money out of it.
That the best way to make us energy independent is to block any effort to produce more petrocarbons in this country.
That the best way to create jobs is to increase taxes and regulations on the job creators.
That the best way to stop arms from this country from getting into the hands of the drug cartels in Mexico is to provide arms to the drug cartels in Mexico.
That all the ills of the economy are due to the fat cat banks and other corporations, and the best way to deal with that is to provide billions in bailouts to the fat cat banks and other corporations.
That more unemployment checks create more jobs.
That investigating the background of George W Bush to the point that you have color photographs of his colon is proper vetting of the Chief Executive, but asking for Barack Hussein Obama's college records or for information on his association with a known terrorist is racist.
That somehow making firearms illegal will prevent criminals from using them.
That the life of a murderer on death row is sacred, but an unborn baby's is not.
That the best way to overcome our racist past is to enforce racist affirmative action policies.
That people who are too ignorant to get a free state issued I.D. card are smart enough to vote.
That the best way to overcome our current spending crisis is to spend more money.
That the federal government with no competition can provide a better health care product than the private sector with competition can.
That a grandma in a wheelchair is a bigger potential threat on an airplane than a guy with a name that takes phlegm to pronounce.
That we need to be sensitive to the feelings of people that subscribe to a religion that teaches that we all should submit to their version of righteousness or face beheading, but should demean and diminish those that believe in the religion that teaches we should love and embrace our neighbors no matter what religion they belong to.
That poll watchers who want to ensure that election laws are observed and the vote is without fraud are intimidating voters, and black radicals with clubs in front of a polling place are not.
That ice ages and the warming periods in between were not caused by man's influence on the earth but a half degree rise in average temperatures over 30 years is.
That using the equivalent of two gallons of fossil fuel to produce one gallon of ethanol makes sense because it is "renewable."
That a picture of a female guard in Abu Ghraib pointing at the genitals of a terrorist and laughing is deplorable but those same goofballs setting off an IED and killing our troops are just freedom fighters.
That a 70 year old woman with a Gadsden flag is a radical but an OWS protestor that defecates on a police car and breaks windows of businesses is a frustrated citizen.
That in spite of the fact that one third of the world is hungry it makes more sense to use food for fuel than drilling for a fuel source that nobody can eat.
The simple fact is that Democrats are the Dodo birds of the human race. The Dodo was discovered by Portuguese explorers in the late 1500's. The name comes from the Portuguese word "Doudo" which means simpleton. They called this bird a simpleton because in their minds it lacked any common sense whatsoever. That lack of common sense or survival instinct eventually led to its demise as a species.
Wait a minute, that's not really fair of me, I shouldn't equate Democrats to a simple minded flightless bird that was too stupid to run from predators. The Dodo had a job foraging for food.

Behold Our Future
The US Department of Education began operating in 1980. The Department's mission is: to promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access.
Discretionary federal education funding totaled $64.1 billion in fiscal year 2010. An important note is that federal spending accounts for only about 9 percent of total funding, the rest is provided by state and local governments.
Now take a look at this video and see if we are getting what we pay for. Remember, these are future voters.

Americans - In the Dark and Unprotected
A Short Review of Obama's Agenda
By Alan Caruba
What word describes a President who knowingly and deliberately decreases the nation’s access to energy by stopping an oil pipeline that will not cost the taxpayers a penny and will generate 20,000 jobs?
# Who imposed a moratorium and oil production in the Gulf of Mexico that cost an estimated 12,000 jobs;
# Whose EPA is causing coal-fired plants that provide electricity to shut down;
# Whose administration has put uranium-rich lands off limits to mining to fuel the nuclear plants that represent 20% of the electricity the nation uses?
What word describes a President who knowingly and deliberately plans to cut the Pentagon budget by half a trillion dollars or more in the next decade?
# Who will force the Army to cut as many as eight of its 45 brigades;
# Who has announced that seven of the Navy’s cruisers will be decommissioned sooner than planned;
# Who will leave the Navy with a fleet of fewer than 230 ships if “sequestration” cuts another $500 billion by next January;
# Who appears to believe that the next war can be fought with drones?
The President takes an oath found in the U.S. Constitution that says, “ I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
What if he ignores the Constitutional limits on presidential powers?
